The Toronto Raptors are entering next season with a strong restructured roster to chase the championship title. Led by 2024 All-Star Scottie Barnes and new addition Brandon Ingram, the team is now focusing on young talent and players’ growth to get back into the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Toronto’s projected lineup looks like a strong strategic build. Immanuel Quickley is at the point guard, Ingram is at the shooting guard, RJ Barrett is at the small forward, Barnes is at the power forward, and Jakob Poeltl is at the center. At the same time, the bench features Gradey Dick, Ochai Agbaji, Ja’Kobe Walter, Jonathan Mogbo, Collin Murray-Boyles, and Sandro Mamukelashvili.
The face of the rebuild, Barnes, begins a five-year, $225 million extension as he will take charge of the leadership role. Ingam, who brings scoring and playmaking to the starting lineup, signed a three-year, $120 million extension at the trade deadline. The front office is looking for internal upgradation. Quickley and Barrett offer steady production, while the other young talents provide a high upside.
With a balanced roster and under the proper guidance of coach Darko Rajakovic, the Raptors could make it into the Eastern Conference’s top eight. The roster looks promising, and the mix of youth talent can be a significant defensive threat under Rajakovic.
