The legendary Steve Nash is making a comeback to the NBA arena, but this time in the media.
NBA insider Marc Stein recently announced the news through his X (formerly Twitter) handle.
The two-time MVP will be joining Amazon Prime’s NBA coverage for the 2025-26 season. What’s really exciting is that Nash will be reuniting with his close friend and fellow Hall of Famer, Dirk Nowitzki.

The duo will share the same room for the first time in over 20 years.
This move comes as Amazon Prime launches Year 1 of its NBA coverage as part of a massive 11-year, $20 billion deal, sharing the spotlight with ESPN and NBC. They’ll have exclusive rights to 66 regular-season games, the NBA Cup, and a special Black Friday game every year.

Amazon Prime Adds TNT’s Stan Van Gundy For Next NBA Season

While Nash will obviously enjoy a great time with his long-time buddy Nowitzki, Amazon Prime is making aggressive hiring for the next NBA season.
The new broadcaster has hired Stan Van Gundy of TNT as a game analyst for their upcoming NBA coverage next season.
At 65 years old, he will work alongside Ian Eagle, who has been named Prime Video’s No. 1 play-by-play announcer. Amazon is in the process of finalizing its analyst team.
Rumors hint they are interested in other prominent names, including Richard Jefferson, Kevin Harlan, and Michael Grady. Dwyane Wade is also considered for analyst roles.

In addition to Van Gundy, Amazon has appointed Taylor Rooks as the lead studio host and signed Blake Griffin and Dirk Nowitzki as pregame and postgame analysts.
Cassidy Hubbarth has been brought on as the lead sideline reporter.
The upcoming NBA season will feature a new broadcasting arrangement worth $76 billion over 11 years, involving ABC/ESPN, NBC/Peacock, and Amazon Prime Video. NBC is expected to include Mike Tirico, Noah Eagle, and possibly Terry Gannon as its top play-by-play voices.
They have already confirmed Jamal Crawford and Reggie Miller as game analysts. This change comes as TNT Sports wraps up its more than 30-year tenure broadcasting NBA games.
