Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton drew significant attention during the 2024-25 NBA postseason. In a recent survey by ‘The Athletic’ among NBA players, Haliburton was voted the most overrated player.
In Game 5 of the first-round playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks, his father had a controversial exchange with Giannis Antetokounmpo, further fueling scrutiny surrounding Haliburton. However, during a recent media availability, Haliburton addressed his critics with a strong statement, discussing the “overrated” label placed on him.
“It’s just basketball, bro. I get paid a lot of money to play a child’s game. So I love what I do. I love my job. Yeah, I don’t even really look at it as a job. I have a lot of fun with what I do. And I think there’s always commentary behind what I do, positive or negative.” Haliburton said.
Haliburton pointed out that some people know nothing about him yet have much to say. He mentioned that those who don’t spend time with him or are rarely around him often offer the most opinions. However, he acknowledges that this is just part of the situation.
