Jade Jones, the girlfriend of Indiana Pacers superstar Tyrese Haliburton, shared a heartwarming post on Instagram after he suffered a devastating Achilles tear in Sunday’s Game 7 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Tyrese Haliburton tore his Achilles in the first quarter of Sunday’s decisive game and did not return. On Monday, the Pacers received the awful update that he tore his Achilles and will likely miss all of next season.
With Haliburton out for most of the game, the Pacers struggled to generate offense and fell 103-91 in Game 7. MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander took over in the second half as OKC outscored Indy 56-43 in the final 48 minutes to claim the franchise’s first championship.
On her Instagram story, Jade Jones shared a photo of herself comforting a crushed Haliburton with captions reading, “every step of the way” and “a run we will remember for a lifetime, you are so amazing!”

Sadly, Tyrese Haliburton was the third NBA superstar to suffer a torn Achilles in the 2025 postseason. Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum also suffered the crushing injury, and both will likely miss all of 2025-26 as well.
If Haliburton had been healthy for the entire game, the Pacers may very well be celebrating their first championship right now. For now, he can only focus on a full recovery and getting himself ready for 2026-27.

Tough Finish Doesn’t Take Away What Tyrese Haliburton & Pacers Accomplished In 2025

It wasn’t the end the Pacers wanted, but Sunday’s crushing Game 7 defeat doesn’t take away what the group accomplished. Indiana proved that last year’s run to the Eastern Conference Finals was no joke, taking down the Bucks, top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers and the pesky New York Knicks to reach the NBA Finals.
Rick Carlisle has built a special culture in Indiana. With Haliburton, Pascal Siakam and Aaron Nesmith under contract through 2026-27, this team’s title window isn’t closed by any means.
