Things are not looking good at all for Tyrese Haliburton. While his team suffered a crushing defeat, Haliburton himself looked quite out of sorts. He went scoreless in the first half, for the first time in his life. And to add to the agony, the Pacers’ star also had to rush to the locker room. As he struggled with his leg, Haliburton came back to the court. But he was not the same as Haliburton, who could only score 4 points. However, after Game 5 was done, the Pacers’ star opened up his mind on his injury.
Tyrese Haliburton addressed questions about his injury at the media session. The Pacers star pointed out that it was his lifelong dream to play in an NBA final, and now that he was there, he did not want to give it up. While Haliburton acknowledged that he had a bad game, he also stated that he would do anything to come back for Game 6.
“I mean it’s the NBA Finals. It’s the Finals man,” Haliburton said. “I’ve worked my whole life to be here, and I want to be out there to compete. Help my teammates in any way I can. I was not great tonight by any means, but it was not really a thought to not play here. If I can walk then I want to play. They understand that. It is what it is, and I’ve got to be ready to go in Game 6.”

“He’s not 100 per cent. It’s pretty clear. But I don’t think he’s going to miss the next game. We were concerned at halftime. He insisted on playing. I thought he made a lot of really good things happen in the second half. But he’s not 100 percent. There’s a lot of guys in this series that aren’t,” said Carlisle.
