The Utah Jazz had a disappointing performance in the 2024-25 NBA season. They finished last in the Western Conference standings with 17 wins and 65 losses. In light of this challenging season, the Jazz are actively looking to make roster changes to improve their impact for the upcoming season.
Recent reports indicate that the Jazz are exploring a trade for Jordan Clarkson this offseason. However, a significant roadblock could ruin this plan. Andy Larsen, the Utah Jazz and NBA beat writer for The Salt Lake Tribune, recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to engage with fans and answer their questions about the Jazz.
During this interaction, one fan asked, “Have there at any point this offseason been discussions regarding trading Jordan Clarkson?”
Larsen: “The Jazz would like to trade Jordan Clarkson but there is next to no interest on the trade market right now. Simply has not had a very good last two seasons and is on the wrong side of the age curve.”

The Jazz have recently become more active in the trade market to improve their roster. They traded Collin Sexton to the Charlotte Hornets and a second-round pick in 2030 in exchange for Jusuf Nurkić. Additionally, NBA analyst Jake Weinbach shared further insights about the Jazz’s plans.
“The Jazz are expected to trade Jordan Clarkson and John Collins as well after sending Collin Sexton to Charlotte. Utah appears to be opening up minutes for its young pieces to develop and are currently facing a roster crunch with 18 players projected to be under contract,” Weinbach wrote in his recent post on X (formerly Twitter).
