San Antonio Spurs fans have embraced a fresh wave of hope ever since Victor Wembanyama joined the team as the first overall pick. Over the past two seasons, Wembanyama has done everything in his power to elevate the team. Even though the Spurs failed to make the playoffs in either season, the fan base stood firmly behind their young star.
That loyalty and optimism have not gone unnoticed. According to a new report by Vegas Insider, the Spurs fan base is officially the least negative in the NBA. The data revealed that only 21.82% of online comments about the team were negative.
Victor Wembanyama had a playful reaction to the findings. He took to X and shared a humorous post.
“When I’m in a positive comment competition and my opponent is a Spurs fan,” Wembanyama wrote.

Wembanyama led the team through a challenging 2024-25 season, during which the Spurs ended with a 34-48 record. While the team fell short of postseason contention, Wembanyama’s individual performance was phenomenal. Unfortunately, his campaign was cut short due to a season-ending injury. In the games he did play, Wembanyama averaged 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.

In a recent episode of his podcast, The Backyard Podcast with D’Angelo Russell, Russell made one of his biggest statements yet. The former All-Star passionately declared Victor Wembanyama as his personal GOAT.
“Victory Wembanyama. He’s my GOAT, he’s slick. I’m telling you all now, I’m putting this on air. I gave him his flowers last time. You ready, bro? This is a big statement. If they ever change the logo, it might be him or Kobe. They might change the logo to Wemby,” Russell said.
San Antonio Spurs sensation has already been touted as a generational player. On Friday, the 21-year-old received the trophy for being the blocks champion after recording 176 blocks in the regular season.
