Victor Wembanyama’s first season in the NBA was phenomenal. The San Antonio Spurs’ highly anticipated prospect not only lived up to the hype but exceeded expectations by winning the 2024 NBA Rookie of the Year award. While the Spurs themselves struggled to climb the standings during the season, Wembanyama managed to stay in the spotlight through his jaw-dropping skill set.
Wembanyama’s rapid rise is a methodical approach to greatness. During his appearance at Fanatics Fest, alongside LeBron James, Wembanyama opened up about something that surprised many. The towering French phenom isn’t just watching game film or picking up highlights. Rather, he’s taking it to another level with a personal note-taking system.
“I have a note on my phone with questions to ask KD, Bron. I had the chance to talk to Jokic for 45 minutes at All-Star. And I’m taking notes. When I’m told something, I don’t forget it. It’s super precious, for sure,” Wemby said.
