The 18-year-old Wembanyama is regarded as the most likely player to go first overall in next year’s NBA draft. Wembanyama is also considered by some to be the best NBA draft prospect since LeBron James.
Gobert, who spent his first five seasons with the Utah Jazz, was traded to the Timberwolves in an offseason blockbuster that included four first-round picks. His ex-Utah star teammate, Donovan Mitchell, was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
