Under the guidance of head coach Joe Mazzulla, the Boston Celtics continue to chase their dream of capturing a record-setting 19th NBA championship. Their journey moved forward on Sunday as they earned a 107-98 victory at the Kia Center, which brings them one step closer to their ultimate goal.
The Celtics battled with intensity throughout the game, while Mazzulla patrolled the sidelines with sharp focus, closely monitoring every play. His passion boiled over during a tense moment when he furiously shouted “F*CK YOU” at a referee. It was actually an upset over not being granted a timeout he believed his team deserved.

Mazzulla’s anger stemmed from his desire to protect his players’ momentum. Boston was playing high that night, and the head coach was determined not to let missed officiating calls disrupt their rhythm or affect their mental focus during such a crucial game.
This wasn’t the first time Mazzulla’s fiery emotions toward officials have come to light. Earlier in the regular season, he was fined $35,000 for aggressively confronting and using inappropriate language toward a game official.

“Just poise. Having an understanding of your environment. You know, obviously some shot-making there, but at the same time, physical drives, getting to the free-throw line. At the end of the day, both teams are playing physical. You have to be able to execute,” Mazzulla said.
Tatum certainly lived up to those words. The Celtics star racked up a game-high 37 points along with 14 rebounds, three assists, and three steals. With the victory, the Celtics have the upper hand with a 3-1 lead. They will again fight for Game 5 on Tuesday.
