We are only a few hours into the 2025 NBA Draft, and crazy stories have started coming out. The draft night was already eight picks down when the Toronto Raptors drafted Collin Murray-Boyles.
The Raptors selected Murray-Boyles with the No. 9 overall pick. However, instead of the expected excitement, he looked a little down, even shaking his head and dropping an F-bomb.
The cameras rolled over him when his name was called, and Collin had a confused expression when he stood up to take the honor.

This has led many to wonder if Murray-Boyles wasn’t exactly thrilled about heading to Toronto. After all, the Raptors had a tough season last year, finishing with a 30-52 record, and they’re in a rebuilding phase.
It’s understandable to question if being part of a team that hasn’t had much success in recent years is what he wanted. But that F-bomb might also be an expression of utter disbelief; we never know.

Collin Murray-Boyles Clears The Air On His NSFW Reaction To Raptors Draft
Collin Murray-Boyles broke the internet with his NSFW reaction to the draft, and it did not look good on him at first. Naturally, this led a lot of fans to wonder if he was upset about being picked by Toronto.
But later that night, Collin cleared the air with local reporters and explained what his reaction really was out of.
“Just disbelief. Toronto is the first team that I worked out for. What I said was not a bad thing. Just very thankful. That was a surreal moment. This organization has a good history,” he said during the post-draft presser.

Murray-Boyles gave a little shake of his head, sort of in awe of it all, and it was clear he was thrilled to be drafted. The Raptors are getting a versatile player who brings some exciting skills to the table, and it turns out, he’s genuinely excited to be part of the team!
However, the Raptors aren’t too worried about his initial reaction. They even took to social media to reassure fans and share their perspective.
