Desmond Bane and the Memphis Grizzlies were on their toes during the intense matchup with the Utah Jazz.
The Grizzlies outlasted the Jazz on Tuesday night to clinch a 140-103 victory. However, before it all concluded in a positive win for Memphis, things got pretty heated at Delta Center.
Bane was seen shoving Santi Aldama to the bench after the two appeared to be in a disagreement. This incident has led to speculation about its cause, possibly linked to on-court events.

Despite the heated moment, the Grizzlies performed exceptionally well, snapping a three-game losing streak and dominating throughout the game.
Additionally, the Grizzlies outshoot the Jazz and control possession, with 20 more field-goal attempts and a shooting percentage of 53.1% compared to Utah’s 43.6%. Bane led the charge with 21 points, while Aldama contributed nine points.

Grizzlies Seem Hopeful For Desmond Bane In Ja Morant’s Absence

As the Grizzlies enter a crucial stretch of the NBA season, they really need to turn things around, especially with Ja Morant’s injury.
Jaren Jackson Jr. and Santi Aldama are also working their way back into form after being out for a bit. Coach Taylor Jenkins has seen enough from Desmond Bane to trust him to take charge of the offense, which could be a game-changer.
Bane has been putting in impressive numbers this season. He’s averaging 18.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. His shooting is on point too, hitting 48.6% from the field and 39.1% from three-point range, all while using the ball less than Morant.
Speaking of Morant, he can still score and dish out assists, but sometimes he ends up trying to do too much by himself, leading to higher turnovers.

Desmond Bane leads the @memgrizz past the Jazz on the road!
Jaren Jackson Jr.: 19 PTS (8-12 FGM), 2 BLK
Scotty Pippen Jr.: 16 PTS (7-8 FGM), 5 REB, 10 AST https://t.co/grdAvX1aFX pic.twitter.com/DzlyIpWtmP
What’s exciting is that Bane has a knack for creating opportunities for others, especially with his ability to drive and kick the ball. This skill could really help the Grizzlies spread the floor, giving Morant the room he needs to work his magic off the ball and making the offense more dynamic overall.
Jackson Jr. is also a key piece of this puzzle. By focusing more on his rebounding and shooting from beyond the arc, he can become an even bigger threat without having to be the primary ball handler. This teamwork is vital as the team gears up for the playoffs.
