If someone says that the New York Knicks fans are the worst at the moment, it won’t be an exaggeration. They have now taken to the streets and are pelting things at Brian Windhorst.
Recently, a video went viral where Windhorst was seen casually ignoring bottles and drinks being thrown at him.
The Knicks fans were dancing with joy outside Madison Square Garden after the team’s win over the Celtics. For the first time since 2000, the Knicks advanced to the Eastern Conference finals.
It’s been a long wait for Knicks fans, and an emotional celebration was expected.
Veteran ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst was covering the Knicks-Celtics series and had picked Boston to win before the matchup began. So, when some Knicks fans spotted him making his way back to his hotel after Game 6, things went a bit awry.

Unfortunately, a few fans started to heckle him, and some even threw objects. This kind of behavior is definitely not a good look for Knicks fans.

Windhorst was just doing his job and walking back from covering the game. So there was really no need for that.
In the viral video, while some Knicks fans were trying to save him, most of them were giggling and throwing stuff at him.
Look, it might be a thing that he is a NY hater. But heckling a senior sports analyst in his 40s is not the nicest thing on the internet. And when the man on the receiving end is someone like Windhorst, it seems unacceptable.

Brian Windhorst’s Celtics Prediction Backfired At Him

While the Knicks are into the Conference Finals after a wait of 25 long years, it was all squared down to Brian Windhorst feeling the heat.
Known for his somewhat skeptical take on the Knicks, Windhorst looked genuinely shaken during his post-game coverage.
Many fans on social media noticed his expressions as he was visibly upset after the Celtics’ shocking exit in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Just a few days earlier, he had confidently claimed that the Celtics still had a shot, even without their star player, Jayson Tatum.

As the celebration kicked off in New York City, Knicks fans wasted no time turning their excitement into playful jabs at Windhorst. After his emotionally charged broadcast, he stepped outside MSG only to face the cheers and taunts from elated fans.
One excited supporter even shouted, “Knicks in 6!” right in his face, challenging his earlier predictions. To his credit, Windhorst handled the heckling like a good sport, clearly recognizing the passion and rivalry that define Knicks fandom.
