You can’t block a shot right inside from the net in the game of basketball unless you are Indiana Pacers’ Thomas Bryant.
The Oklahoma City Thunder bounced back beautifully in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, putting on a show against the Pacers with a 123-107 victory.
With all that happening on the court, a particular moment during the game caught everybody’s attention.
Bryant, the Pacers star center, went on to play a controversial defense on the OKC Thunder’s Kenrich Williams. At the first instance, his block looked clean and successful as he was successful to deflect the ball from going in.

Although a new slow motion footage showed something that is a bit controversial. Bryant got his hand inside the net, something called a ‘goaltend’ in NBA terms, while making the defence.
Luckily, he got away with that as no whistle was blown or a call being put on him.

Thunder-Pacers Now Tied For Game 3 In The 2025 NBA Finals

While the controversial block went unnoticed, it was the OKC Thunder’s performance that lived up to the expectations.
With the win, the Thunder tied the series at one game each. This win was especially sweet for the franchise as it marked their first Finals victory since 2012.
However, on the other side, Indiana struggled a bit. Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 17 points, but they weren’t able to find a 20-point scorer in the first two games. Interestingly, this hasn’t happened in the Finals since 2013.
Looking ahead to Game 3 on Wednesday, which will be the first Finals game in Indianapolis in 25 years, the Thunder have shown they can bounce back after losses.
This season, they’ve turned it around with an impressive 18 wins in 20 games after a defeat, many of those victories coming by big margins. It’s going to be exciting to see if they can keep that momentum going.
