Stephen Curry remains sidelined for the Golden State Warriors in their Western Conference semifinal series against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a left hamstring strain. His absence was deeply felt once again in Game 3 on Saturday at Chase Center. The Warriors faltered heavily without their star player.
Saturday’s 102-97 defeat at Chase Center marked a critical turning point in the series as the Warriors slipped to a 2-1 deficit. Even before the final whistle, cameras turned to Curry on the bench and captured a moment of raw emotion. The two-time MVP was seen sitting with his head bowed. He was clearly frustrated by his inability to contribute on the court during such a crucial stretch.

It’s a particularly bitter blow for Curry, who had led the Warriors to a thrilling Game 7 victory over the Houston Rockets in the first round. He then took the court in Game 1 of the current series but suffered a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined ever since.
In Curry’s absence, Jimmy Butler scored 33 points, and Jonathan Kuminga scored 30 points in Game 3. However, the Warriors were still seemingly missing Curry on the court.
Jimmy Butler Reflects On Playing Without Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is still the heart and soul of the Warriors team. After the loss, Jimmy Butler highlighted the heightened challenge of competing without Curry on the floor.

“When Steph’s not on the floor, there’s no room for error. You can’t make mistakes; you can’t turn the ball over; you can’t give back all of those things. And then you’ve got to take the right shots,” Butler said.
Reportedly, Curry could make a return by Game 6. However, if the Timberwolves maintain their momentum and extend their lead, there’s a real possibility that the series could be decided before Curry has a chance to rejoin the action.
