The Denver Nuggets secured a 114-105 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Monday, ending Steve Kerr’s team’s’ seven-game winning streak. The loss was particularly frustrating for Golden State, as Denver pulled off the win despite missing their top players, Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Christian Braun.
Meanwhile, the Warriors had their full roster available, including Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, and Jonathan Kuminga. Golden State kept the game close for most of the night, but crucial turnovers in the final quarter proved costly. Two late giveaways resulted in back-to-back three-pointers for the Nuggets and swung momentum in Denver’s favor.
The Warriors’ sloppiness with the ball played a significant role in the outcome, as Stephen Curry and Draymond Green combined for 11 turnovers. Steve Kerr’s frustration was evident on the sidelines, as he was seen yelling at his assistants during a timeout before quickly shifting his focus to his clipboard.
