The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Golden State Warriors 107-90 on Friday night in the first of two matchups between the teams this weekend. Anthony Edwards played a key role in the win, dashing the hopes of Steph Curry and Warriors fans.
As the game wore on, Edwards’ energy only grew, and by the fourth quarter, he was fully in the zone. After sinking a crucial basket, Edwards turned to the Warriors fans and yelled, “Go home.” Edwards’ trash talk didn’t stop there, as he exchanged words with Steph Curry throughout the game.

In his post-game interview with Nicole Briscoe, Edwards reflected on the intense moment. “We were talking a little trash tonight. After the game, I was yelling at him. [Curry] was like, ‘Right back,’ because we play them again in a day and a half. I know it’s going to be tough, so I’ll be ready,” Edwards said.
Edwards ended the game with 30 points and nine assists while shooting 11/18 from the field and 4/10 from the three-point range. The Wolves star also had one steal and two blocks in 35 minutes of playing time.
