The Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets have undoubtedly crafted one of the most exhilarating Round 1 playoff series this season. Following the Warriors’ heartbreaking loss in Game 6, tensions have mounted as the series heads into a thrilling Game 7. In addition, it appears that Warriors star Draymond Green might have unlocked an intriguing loophole in the NBA rules.
In the electrifying atmosphere of Game 6, as Stephen Curry skillfully maneuvered the ball, a Rockets player made a bold move, shoving Draymond Green to put pressure on Curry.
This unexpected shove sent Green crashing into Jalen Green of the Rockets, leading to a dramatic moment where Draymond seized Jalen by the neck from behind and sent him sprawling to the floor in a fierce display of tenacity.

After the game, Eddie Gonzalez noted that Draymond continues to find new loopholes in NBA rules, even after 13 years in the league. He wrote, “Draymond figuring out the “flagrant is not a tech” loophole is like AI gaining consciousness. It’s an advancement I wasn’t prepared for and am not sure how to handle at this moment. Draymond getting his initial tech out the way so he can have immunity for the rest of the game is actually smart.”
At first, the referees signaled an offensive foul against Draymond. However, following a thorough review of the play, the officials concluded that the contact was excessive. Consequently, they elevated the foul to a flagrant and ultimately awarded Jalen Green two crucial free throws.

During the post-game interview, Green praised VanVleet for his impressive showing.
When asked about VanVleet’s impressive performance, Green replied, “No, I’m not surprised one bit. Fred VanVleet is the reason we lost to Toronto in the Finals. So, we know what he’s capable of. Not surprised at all.”
