Giannis Antetokounmpo has recently been one of the biggest stars in the NBA. Donning the Milwaukee Bucks jersey, Antetokounmpo has been phenomenal in his role as the pivotal character of the team. Unfortunately, while Antetokounmpo had big dreams this season, it did not materialize. Make no mistake, the Bucks’s star was in great touch. He ended his season with an average of 30.4 points per game. Not only that, he also had 11.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists to show for this season. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts, the Bucks failed to shine.
And this is exactly what might have frustrated Antetokounmpo significantly. Thus, after the end of the current season, the ‘Greek Freak’ is rumored to have opted for a change in team. Quite expected, such news has sent the NBA realm into a frenzy. Almost every team now wants to rope in the services of the two-time NBA MVP. However, a crucial point to consider is how the Bucks will approach the trade. Losing a player of Antetokounmpo’s caliber is huge. Thus, they would surely like to be duly compensated.
Thus, after careful consideration, here are three teams that Antetokounmpo might end up with next season.
1. Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets might be a prospect that Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks might want to consider. According to various insider reports, the Rockets are willing to trade Alperen Sengun to the Bucks.

Both sides voiced an eagerness to improve the roster and bring it back to a championship level.
Now, this would be an ideal situation as Sengun will be a great young prospect for the Bucks going forward. Along with him, they might also trade Jabari Smith Jr. and Cam Whitmore, along with first-round draft picks from 2025 to 2028.

2. San Antonio Spurs

San Antonio Spurs too, seems to be a viable option for a possible Antetokounmpo trade. Provided the Bucks are willing to go into a rebuilding phase rather than come out all guns blazing next year, the Spurs have a flurry of interesting trades to offer. They can offer the services of Devin Vasell, Harrison Barnes, and Stephon Castle, along with first-round picks till 2027.
3. Dallas Mavericks

Lastly, the one team that desperately needs a lift-up is the Dallas Mavericks. With their star prospect, Luka Doncic, gone, the Mavs have found themselves in a bit of a hole. Now, adding Antetokounmpo to their roster will only make things better. With the Greek star joining forces with Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving, the Mavs might have a real chance at glory.
However, in order to acquire Antetokounmpo, they will have to give up their first overall pick in the 2025 draft, which appears to be Cooper Flagg. With already significant damage being done with the Luka Doncic trade, it remains to be seen whether the Mavericks go through with it or not.
