The football world was really scared for the safety of Peter Burns after he made a terrible joke about another man’s wife.
Things got awkward in the SEC Network studios during halftime of the Vanderbilt-Florida game. A discussion about suits led to Burns joking about getting a text from Watson’s wife.
When SEC Network went back live to the studio, Burns and Watson were not on set. Watson would eventually return with a look on his face as if he handled business behind the scenes.
Chris Doering and Takeo Spikes were forced to awkwardly address the audience.
Hours later, the SEC Network colleagues posed for a photo that Burns shared to his Twitter account with a “friendship” hashtag.
