Charles Barkley is one of the most outspoken supporters of all things Auburn, so it’s not shocking that he is coming to the defense of Bryan Harsin.
Harsin is trying to escape the rumors that surrounded him this offseason when rumors suggested he had an affair with assistant Clesi Crochet.
On Friday, Auburn legend Charles Barkley shared a message for football coach Bryan Harsin’s critics.
“I’m a Bryan Harsin fan,” Barkley said on The Next Round. “This is to all the Auburn people. Leave that man alone and let him do his freaking job. He’s only been there a year. Just leave the man alone and let him do his job. I’m very excited, y’all guys know I love me some Bruce Pearl. His son Steven and our entire coaching staff, I love our coaches.
I love our AD, Allen Greene. If they let Allen, Bruce, and Bryan Harsin do their job, I feel really good about Auburn going forward. For the people who keep bothering this man, I wish somebody would just slap the hell out of them.”
Harsin finished Year 1 at Auburn with a 6-7 record. He will have to be much better in 2022 if he wants to continue his career at Auburn.
Auburn will start the 2022 season at home against Mercer.
