Basketball Hall of Famer and beloved NBA analyst Charles Barkley couldn’t help but keep his feud with San Antonio ahead of tonight’s NCAA men’s basketball national championship game.
The Houston Cougars and Florida Gators will square off tonight at San Antonio’s Alamodome to determine the national champion. The Cougars, playing in their first championship game in 1984, have never won the tournament. The Gators, who won back-to-back championships in 2006 and ’07, are looking to win their third title.
Charles Barkley was at San Antonio’s Capital One JamFest on Sunday ahead of the highly-anticipated national championship game. Barkley, who has a history of body-shaming women in the city, poked fun at San Antonio again while on stage.
“Yes, y’all got some big b*itches here,” Barkley said.

For those unfamiliar, Charles Barkley has body-shamed the women in the city of San Antonio on numerous occasions. He previously called them “overweight” and referred to them as “big ‘ole women.”
Barkley’s Phoenix Suns faced the San Antonio Spurs in the second round of the 1993 NBA playoffs and again in the opening round of the 1996 postseason. Phoenix won their 1993 conference semifinal matchup in six games but were eliminated by the Spurs in four games three years later.

Charles Barkley Heads To ESPN Next Year

Back in November, it was announced that the popular “Inside the NBA” program would move from TNT Sports to ESPN, beginning in the 2025-26 season. The Worldwide Leader in Sports is retaining the star-studded cast in Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith.
Barkley has been on “Inside the NBA” since 2000, joining the studios immediately after he retired from basketball that year.
