New Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has done it again.
Coach Prime has flipped yet another big name, having taken over as the Buffaloes’ head coach late last year.
According to Joe Spears of On3, Sanders has gotten five-star cornerback recruit Cormani McCain to flip his commitment from Miami to Colorado.
This is certainly a position Deion would appreciate as he was a CB himself. His wealth of experience will likely go a long way toward making McCain even better, and it was probably part of his pitch to the player too.
McCain is the highest-rated cornerback in the class of 2023 and the 12th-ranked overall.
It appears Deion Sanders Jr. went some way into announcing the move in a tweet on Friday that reads, “We got him.”
Sanders shocked the college football world when he got Travis Hunter to flip in quite possibly the biggest U-turn in NCAA history in 2021. He’s taken Hunter with him from Jackson State to Colorado and now has another top CB in his arsenal for the upcoming season.
Sanders was not shy about saying he’s the best recruiter in the country during a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe. After getting two top-rated cornerbacks in consecutive classes, for different programs, who’s to say he’s not?
