The two-time defending champion Georgia Bulldogs are possibly going to be even better as they come off a second-straight National Championship.
Much-hyped quarterback prospect Dylan Raiola has committed to Georgia over USC and Nebraska. Raiola is considered the top prospect in the class of 2024.
Raiola chose Ohio State over Georgia, Nebraska, USC, Alabama, Texas, Notre Dame, and Oregon in May 2022. However, he decommitted in December 2022, giving Georgia another chance to land the top prospect in the class of 2024.
The son of former NFL offensive lineman Dominic Raiola spoke to ESPN after making his decision and stated that the “culture” and “standard” at Georgia appealed to him.
“There’s a culture and a standard that I was attracted to,” Raiola told ESPN. “The more time that went by, the stronger I felt about Georgia and ultimately led to this decision.”
His father spent part of his career protecting Georgia alum Matthew Stafford in Detroit.
As a junior, he threw for 2,435 yards, 22 touchdowns, and five interceptions after throwing for 3,341 yards, 32 touchdowns, and five interceptions as a sophomore.
Georgia, meanwhile, now boasts the No. 4 incoming recruiting class for 2024, trailing just Michigan, Ohio State, and Notre Dame, according to 247Sports’ aggregate rankings. Raiola will be one of two 5-star recruits on the team, joining cornerback Ellis Robinson IV (No. 7 overall) and linebacker Demarcus Riddick (No. 25 overall).
Georgia is now ensuring they stay in the National Championship picture for many years to come as they look to replace the Alabama Crimson Tide as the team that is always in the CFB Playoffs fighting for a chance to win it all every single year.
