The Ohio State Buckeyes were well-represented in the first official trailer of College Football 26.
Not all of it was good.
After the announcement that Buckeyes’ Jeremiah Smith would be on the cover of EA’s College Football 26, fans were excited to see their favorite players in the upcoming video game.
On Thursday, EA released the trailer of their game, which contained multiple clips of the Buckeyes.
One of the first clips featured in the trailer was head coach Ryan Day hyping up his team in the tunnel before the game. Buckeyes’ star wideout and cover athlete Jeremiah Smith had a brief spot in the montage, as he ran a similar route to the one he had during the National Championship game on 3rd and 11 to clinch the victory.
Fans also got one more glimpse of Ryan Day holding up the National Championship Trophy.
It wasn’t all good for Ohio State.

At one point in the game, a Buckeyes defender was shaken out of his shoes as a Michigan Wolverines player delivered a pass downfield.

Rob Jones, Senior Producer of EA Sports, is said to be a “huge Michigan fan.” The rivalry between Michigan and Ohio State even extends to the video gaming world.

Ohio State Buckeyes Looking To Go Back To Back

Football season is quickly approaching, and Ohio State’s quest to be the second team to win back-to-back titles in the College Football Playoff era is underway.
Ryan Day has done a tremendous job so far throughout the 2026 recruiting trail. The program stands as the No. 3-ranked school in the current cycle. They may have lost a lot, but they also gained talent.
Ohio State is favored to win a second straight national championship in some of the post-spring top-25 rankings.
