Ed Orgeron is still living his best life despite the recent judgment against him.
Despite being divorced for years, the former LSU head coach still has to deal with his ex-wife. In 2021, LSU terminated Orgeron’s coaching contract, resulting in an approximately $17 million buyout. Kelly wanted some of that money.
Kelly Orgeron argued that she was entitled to half of the buyout money, as the contract was signed during their marriage. The courts agreed.
On Friday, the Louisiana Supreme Court ruled that half of Ed Orgeron’s LSU buyout belongs to his ex-wife, Kelly Orgeron.
The ruling awards $8.13 million to Kelly Orgeron. The Louisiana Supreme Court ruled 5-2 in favor of Kelly Orgeron.
This decision overturned previous rulings in favor of Ed Orgeron by lower courts.
Orgeron has not coached college football since he was fired by LSU in 2021. He led the program to its most recent National Championship in 2019.

Ed Orgeron is Still Enjoying Life

Ed Orgeron, a former college football coach for the LSU Tigers, is clearly a party guy and will not let anything get him down.
Over the weekend, Orgeron attended a wedding of an ex-LSU staffer that was happening in New Orleans.
A video clip from the event shows Orgeron getting down on the dance floor while being completely shirtless.

Before that, Orgeron gave a shoutout to the wedding-goers, issuing praise to his old colleagues.
The Louisiana Supreme Court on Friday ruled the former Mrs. Orgeron is owed $8.13 million for Coach O’s buyout. The ruling came after two lower courts ruled on Ed’s behalf.
