A captain with the Logan Police department said that his office have been receiving more than 300 calls an hour regarding the arrest made at a Logan County Middle School football game that has since went viral on social media, according to ABC6onyourside.
Logan Police officer Chris Smith has also received multiple death threats and racial insults after video showed him tazing and arresting a woman that wouldn’t comply with wearing a mask.
Not only that, people online are encouraging each other to harass the police department as well as the arresting officer.
Alicia Kitts was told several times to put her mask on and if she did not, she would be asked to leave the stadium. Officer Smith advised her that she was being placed under arrest for criminal trespassing and asked her to place her hands behind her back multiple times, and she refused.
Kitts was charged with criminal trespassing and notes that Kitts was not arrested for failing to wear a mask.
