Angel Reese was out in full support of her former college team and her brother Julian during the team’s Sweet 16 appearance.
Maryland met Florida in the Sweet 16 on Thursday night, with the Terrapins ultimately getting eliminated 87-71 loss to knock them out of the men’s NCAA tournament.
Chicago Sky star Angel Reese was in attendance at the game to support her brother Julian Reese after the Terrapins shocked the basketball world with Derik Queen’s buzzer-beater in the previous round.
Reese was shown on camera quite a bit as she sported a custom Julian Reese-themed outfit for her brother’s game at the Chase Center.
Former NBA coach Stan Van Gundy, who was serving as an announcer for TBS, decided it was the perfect time to joke about Reese having a lack of emotion in the crowd.
Van Gundy sarcastically stated that he needed to see Reese “calm down” because she showed too much emotion.

Angel Reese Previously Played For Maryland
After barely getting past the No. 12 seed Colorado State Rams in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, Julian Reese and the Maryland Terrapins couldn’t get it done in the Sweet 16.
Julian Reese’s sister, Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky, attended Chase Center in San Francisco, California, to watch her brother play.
Reese once played for the program before she moved on to LSU.
During her time at UMD, she scored 719 points, secured 430 rebounds, and tallied 65 assists, 62 steals, and 55 blocks.
