Georgia announced the suspension of two players on Thursday. Sophomore wide receiver Nitro Tuggle and offensive lineman Marques Easley have been formally suspended indefinitely.
Tuggle was arrested on Thursday on speeding/maximum limit and reckless driving charges and would eventually be released on a $26 bond.
The Athens Banner-Herald reported Easley was involved in a vehicle crash on Monday night.
Georgia coach Kirby Smart has previously stated he has struggled to find ways to convince his players to avoid speeding and reckless driving, and clearly, whatever he is doing is not working because it keeps happening.
According to an incident report obtained by Marc Weiszer of the Athens-Banner Herald, Easley’s incident took place in Watkinsville, Georgia. His white Dodge Challenger lost control and proceeded to leave the roadway, striking a power distribution box with its front.
His vehicle would rotate clockwise and strike the passenger side of a Hyundai Elantra with its passenger side and a Mercedes Benz CLA with its driver’s side.
Tuggle is a sophomore, while Easley is a redshirt freshman.
