A video has gone viral of President Donald Trump meeting with towering Florida Gators basketball star Olivier Rioux, and the size difference is mind-blowing.
Donald Trump welcomed the Gators to the White House on Wednesday, six weeks after their thrilling 65-63 victory over the Houston Cougars in the men’s basketball national championship game.
Margo Martin, a Special Assistant to the President and Communications Advisor, shared a video of the 7-foot-9 Olivier Rioux walking over to meet the president at his desk. Trump called him “a beautiful-looking guy,” and said “it’s great” to be that tall.

A native of Terrebonne, Quebec, Rioux attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida before committing to the Gators’ program. Rioux, who led Canada to bronze at the FIBA Under-18 AmeriCup last year, redshirted in his first collegiate season.
There’s widespread debate about President Donald Trump’s actual height. His medical exam listed him at 6-foot-3 and 224 pounds, but that’s practically the size and frame of an NFL linebacker.
In March, Martin also posted a photo of the President meeting with Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins. The latter is listed at 6-foot-3 in height, and he’s notably taller than Trump in this photo:

Since launching his first presidential campaign in 2015, fact-checkers have counted Trump telling tens of thousands of lies. That reared its ugly head when he spread plenty of misinformation during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, so of course the President wouldn’t be afraid to lie about his real height.
Donald Trump Became The Oldest President To Assume Office

When he was sworn in for a second presidential term in January, Trump became the oldest POTUS to take office at 78 years and 220 days of age. That broke the record set by Joe Biden, who was 78 years and 61 days when he began his term in 2021.
