Hugh Freeze is one dedicated man. The Liberty head coach was dealing with a staph infection as well as a disc issue after he was having severe back pain, but he was only two weeks into a 4-6 week recovery from surgery.
So, he decided to coach Saturday’s game against Syracuse from his hospital bed in the coaches box.
Whatever he called did not work, because the Flames got FLAMED 24-0.
After the game, he gave a wave to Syracuse coach Dino Babers.
Freeze was hired by Liberty at the end of the 2018 season after spending the past two seasons away from coaching.
