Ohio State was in the midst of battling back in the Rose Bowl after falling behind to Utah with a wild first half. While they were doing that, Ohio State cornerback Marcus Williamson decided to call it a career.
After halftime of the Rose Bowl, Williamson announced his retirement from football. Pointing out that he didn’t pull a Vontae Davis and quit at halftime.
“I’m retired y’all & no I didn’t quit at halftime like vontae davis”
Williamson was one of 24 Buckeyes who didn’t suit up for the school’s Rose Bowl matchup against Utah. In fact, he didn’t even make the trip with the team to Pasadena.
“I didn’t make the trip,” Williamson tweeted. “Figured I’d enjoy my holiday watch sum good ball.” Adding, “Self care fellas.”
Williamson, who posted 24 tackles with Ohio State this season, also ranted during the game as he called out the IQ of Buckeye fans, Ohio State’s coaching staff, and even giving a bit of advice to potential recruits down the road.
Marcus Williamson finishes his career with 67 tackles, five pass deflections and two forced fumbles.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS? FOLLOW US ON GOOGLE NEWS.
