Oregon Ducks superstar wide receiver Evan Stewart has reportedly suffered a gruesome injury that will sideline him for the 2025 season.
According to the College Football Headlines X/Twitter account, Evan Stewart suffered a torn patellar tendon and will miss the entire 2025 season. Stewart helped Oregon to a Rose Bowl appearance, where they fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes, who went on to win the national championship.
The 21-year-old is eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft, but if reports of the injury are accurate, there’s a good chance that he’ll return to college next year and wait until 2027 to turn professional.
Oregon hasn’t confirmed reports of Stewart’s injury, so we’ll continue to monitor this.

Evan Stewart’s Injury Is A Bad Break For Oregon

Oregon’s top two receivers of 2024, Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden, are now pros after landing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys, respectively. The Bucs drafted Johnson in the seventh round, and Holden signed with Dallas as an undrafted free agent.
So if Evan Stewart is already ruled out for the season, that means the Ducks will be down their top three receivers in 2025. Indeed, they’ll need the other receivers to step up.
