This is just an incredible bad look for Dabo Swinney.
The Clemson Tigers head coach, who has yet to even speak out on a current coach saying the n-word, appears to have taken a picture with a fan and was rocking a “football matters” t-shirt.
That is an incredibly bad look in the current climate where African Americans are currently chanting ‘Black Lives Matter’ amid watching yet another police officer kill an unarmed Black man.
Social media let him have it:
Former player Kanyon Tuttle had a harsh reaction to seeing Clemson issue nothing but a statement in regards to the program’s stance on race relations.
“Cap, you allowed a coach to call a player the N-word during practice with no repercussions,” Tuttle said on Tuesday. “Not even a team apology. When we had the sit-in in front of sikes you suggested us players try to stay out of it to limit distractions. Stop protecting your brand, take a stand.”
Assistant coach Danny Pearman has since issued an apology, but Dabo has remained silent.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS? FOLLOW US ON GOOGLE NEWS.
