The Duke Blue Devils recently faced off against Georgia Tech in the thrilling opening round of the ACC Tournament, held at the Spectrum Center. Ultimately, Duke emerged victorious with a score of 78-70. However, the team experienced a significant blow as their standout player, Cooper Flagg, sustained an injury during the match.
With 2:50 left in the first half, Flagg made a significant leap to secure a crucial rebound. Unfortunately, as he landed, he rolled his left ankle and fell on the floor. After a brief moment, he attempted to stand up, but pain shot through his ankle, making it impossible for him to put any weight on it.
Recognizing the severity of the situation, his teammates and the coaching staff quickly rushed onto the court to assess him. Unable to walk, Flagg was eventually assisted off the floor and taken to the locker room in a wheelchair. He was clearly frustrated and in discomfort, as he left the game.
