In a state where high school football isn’t just a sport but a way of life, Buford High School just raised the bar- big time. The Wolves have unveiled a $62 million football stadium that’s making waves not just in Georgia, but across the entire country.
From the outside, it looks more like a mid-tier college program’s facility than a high school field. And that’s the point. Buford isn’t chasing average. The program expects dominance, and now it has a home that matches those ambitions.
Facility That Defies Georgia High School Standards

Construction crews broke ground on the new stadium around the end of September, and wrapped up the main structure in just eight months. The school built it across the street from campus, expanding an already elite football complex that includes six practice fields and a separate field for the JV team.

The stadium itself has features that even many college programs can’t claim. It boasts a full press box, multiple luxury suites with panoramic views, and a wide concourse that includes a custom trophy case. The crown jewel might just be the videoboard, the largest in any high school football stadium nationwide, and it plays on both sides.
“It doesn’t look like a high school stadium,” one local coach said while visiting the site. “It’s cleaner than most college venues I’ve been to.”

Buford finished last season at 12-2 and ranked third in the state. For most programs, that’s cause for celebration. For Buford, it was a letdown. Winning is the standard, and this new stadium reflects that mindset.
Even though the interior of the facility is still under final construction, the exterior is complete and the brand-new turf field is ready for action. The Wolves will open their season on it this August.
Over the past decade, Buford has cemented its place as one of the country’s top 25 high school football programs. Now, with one of the best stadiums at any level, they’ve added another reason athletes and fans are watching closely.
For Buford, football isn’t just a tradition. It’s an expectation. And now, the Wolves have a stadium that shows they mean business.
