Wake Forest baseball coach Tom Walter might be in some huge trouble.
Tennessee baseball beat Wake Forest 11-5 to advance to its 5th straight Super Regional. They will go onward in the NCAA Tournament to face Arkansas (46-13) in the super regional.
The victory was marred a bit after cameras took a look at the Wake Forest bench area.
Emotions were high, and the crowd was loud. An unexpected event happened during the NCAA baseball tournament in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Right before a big moment in the game, cameras seemed to catch Wake Forest head coach Tom Walter saying something harsh toward Tennessee’s Andrew Fischer.
Social media seems to think he called him a “F—ing fa–ot.”

Tennessee had just taken a 6-2 lead after Manny Marin hit a three-run home run. As Andrew Fischer stepped into the batter’s box, TV cameras focused on Wake Forest head coach Tom Walter. Walter was seen mouthing what looked like an expletive directed at Fischer.
Fischer, who is known for his energy and emotion on the field, did not react directly to Walter. Instead, he smacked a 2-run home run to extend the lead.
Wake Forest Tom Walter Speaks After Loss

The NCAA baseball tournament brings out the emotions in everyone.
Tennessee Vols first baseman Andrew Fischer called on the Tennessee crowd to get loud after Tennessee’s 7-6 loss on Sunday night to Wake Forest. It appears as though Wake Forest manager Tom Walter isn’t a big fan of Fischer.
Walter was captured on the broadcast saying something about him as he was getting settled in the box to hit with Tennessee up 6-2 after a 3-run home run by Manny Marin.
Tom Walter met with members of the media on Sunday night to recap his club’s win over Tennessee in the Knoxville Regional action.
Unfortunately, it does not appear he was asked about that moment.
What he did state:
“What a great college baseball game that was. Both teams played at a really high level for nine innings. Game could have gone either way. Two great ball clubs. Tennessee threw three really good guys out at us. I mean, [Brandon] Arvidson, I didn’t expect him to go as long as he did, and he was fantastic tonight. And then, obviously, Nate’s Snead as [good a pitcher as] there is, but our guys matched them pitch for pitch. Logan Lunceford was probably the difference for us tonight. He got his five innings. He got two shutdown innings, so we could keep some momentum in our dugout. And then Rhys Bowie got six big outs, and then, obviously, [Josh] Gunther and [Haiden] Leffew got the last nine outs. And then give credit to our guys for great at-bats, especially there in the ninth inning. [The inning starts off with] the great walk by Scanny [Matt Scannell]. Marek [Houston] with two strikes, finds a hole, Kade Lewis with a great bunt. And then we had the guy up that we want up in those situations, Jack Winnay. And so, couldn’t be happier for Jack. He deserves that atbat and he came through for his teammates. So, really well-played game. Really proud of our guys and can’t wait to play tomorrow.”
