“Thank you for everything, gymnastics. You were so good to me,” Dunne said as she bid farewell to the sport. Dunne was unable to compete with her team towards the end since she suffered an injury.

Dunne’s retirement never came easily to fans and her loved ones. Most of all, her teammates were shattered to watch her leave the sport. Dunne’s LSU teammate Aleah Finnegan took to social media to share a heartfelt message on her retirement.
“I AM SOBBING. SO beyond proud of you and the impact you’ve had on my life. Love you so big,” Aleah Finnegan wrote.
“I love you sm,” Olivia Dunne replied.
Apart from Finnegan, Haleigh Bryant reacted, saying it was an honor for her to be Dunne’s teammate for the last five years.
“Beyond proud of you, you deserve the world!! It has truly been an honor being your teammate these past 5 years!! Don’t forget about me, I love you sm.”
Dunne replied, saying: “haleighbryant you da 🐐! best friend 4ever!”
Freddie Freeman’s wife, Chelsea Freeman, was one among many to respond to Dunne’s tribute video.
“This is beautiful” Chelsea Freeman wrote.
