Two NFL teams have seemingly dropped out of the race for Shedeur Sanders despite their strong ties to the Colorado quarterback.
Sanders is predicted to be a high first-round pick, having helped turn things around in Boulder after following his father, Deion Sanders, from Jackson State.
However, one of the teams strongly linked with him just made an interesting move at QB.
According to reports, the Cleveland Browns brought Joe Flacco backco back on a one-year deal this Friday. The Browns acquired the veteran signal-caller on a $4 million deal that can reach a stunning $13 million in incentives.

Flacco is beloved in Cleveland after helping the team reach the playoffs in 2023 and winning the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award at the end of that season. He is said to have spoken to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings before joining the Browns.
The AFC North side also traded for Kenny Pickett earlier in the offseason, and the two QBs will likely compete for the starting spot in 2025, with Deshaun Watson not expected to play after suffering an Achilles injury last season.

The moves also suggest that they won’t be looking to draft Shedeur.
Another One Of Shedeur Sanders’ Preferred Destinations Has Made Similar Plays

The same could be said for the New York Giants. The NFC East outfit has also been strongly linked to Shedeur and is known to be a preferred destination, but they have since brought in highly-rated veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston.
Ironically enough, Winston played for the Browns last season.
While NY hasn’t quite ruled out drafting Shedeur Sanders, it does appear that Wilson and Winston will be battling for that starting spot this year.
The Tennessee Titans also canceled a workout with Sanders and are unlikely to select him at No. 1 overall. And there is a chance of him slipping all the way to ninth should he fall out of the top three, with the New Orleans Saints currently holding that spot and possibly in the market for a future face-of-the-franchise QB.
