When it comes to Quarterbacks, some NFL franchises are just better than others at picking them. Some teams get lucky on a QB and get a player who plays for 20 years and wins multiple championships. In contrast, other teams have a niche in finding busts.
Here is the list of top five NFL teams that always have GOATS and five who always have crappy QB’s.
Which NFL teams always struck gold on quarterbacks and which ones don’t?
Best: New England Patriots

Tom Brady’s career in New England is better than most NFL franchises’ QB history combined. Not only does he hold the most Super Bowl wins ever for a QB. But he was also an All-Pro six times. He stole the starting job from Drew Bledsoe, who was an All-Pro twice and led New England to a Super Bowl of his own, giving the Patriots GOAT quarterback play for almost three decades straight.
Worst: Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have had one good quarterback in their history, Newton, and they ruined his NFL career, which was on pace to reach the Hall of Fame. Jake Delhomme also had a decent career in Carolina, but there is nothing to consider GOAT, HOF, or legendary.
Best: San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers’ recent quarterback success might not be the best, even though Brock Purdy is slowly becoming a top-10 quarterback in the NFL. Having multiple Hall of Fame quarterbacks, including Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Frankie Albert, is a legendary history for one position. San Francisco could arguably have the best history ever if Purdy has a solid career and can win a Super Bowl.
Worst: New York Jets

Since Joe Namath retired, the Jets have been begging, praying, and pleading for a franchise quarterback. Even worse, he retired in 1985, almost four decades ago. Jets fans have been watching bad quarterbacks for 40 years, and the Houston Texans have only been an NFL team since 2002. Nothing can be worse than that.
Best: Green Bay Packers

Like the 49ers, the Packers went from one HOF QB to the next when they transitioned from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers. Jordan Love has also begun to prove himself in the NFL. While they don’t have a ton of Super Bowls won between the three, Favre and Rodgers have ten All-Pros and 21 Pro Bowl selections combined.
Worst: Chicago Bears

In recent years, Chicago has had a tough time drafting, trading for, and signing elite NFL quarterbacks. Things always get worse for Bears fans when they dream of new quarterbacks. Considering Jay Cutler could be one of their best at the position, it is genuinely just sad to say.
Best: Indianapolis Colts

Like the 49ers, the Colts haven’t been able to find much recent QB success, and like Green Bay, Super Bowls have been hard to come by for Indianapolis. But Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, and Johnny Unitas are three great quarterback careers for one NFL franchise. If Andrew Luck hadn’t chosen to retire from football early in his career, he might still be their starting QB and on his way to Canton if everything went right.
Worst: Jacksonville Jaguars

It’s laughable how bad the Jaguars’ QBs have been. If a 15-year-old googled the Jaguars’ best QBs, he might not recognize one. Their current QB, who was one of the highest-rated draft picks ever, is starting to look like a bust, and the position might just be cursed in Jacksonville.
Best: Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia is the one NFL team that might not have one overall quarterback legend, but they consistently have had fantastic seasons from their QBs. Jalen Hurts is their most recent success story, going from 2nd second-round pick and highly doubted to Super Bowl Champion. Nick Foles could be considered the greatest backup QB of all time. They got two great seasons from both Michael Vick and Carson Wentz, as well as the long career of Donovan McNabb, which had everything but a Super Bowl win.
Worst: Cleveland Browns

Before you look at the Browns’ QB history, put a bag over your head so you don’t burn your eyes. There’s no debate about who the worst QB franchise ever is, and even Browns QBs would have to agree on this one. Cleveland is where good QBs go to collect a check and forget how to play football.
