On Sunday, the Detroit Lions upset the Green Bay Packers during their Week 9 matchup, and a family member of one of the players wanted to make sure to pour more salt in the wound.
No one seems more thrilled about besting Aaron Rodgers than Aidan Hutchinson’s mom, Melissa.
Earlier this week, Melissa reflected on her family’s “winning weekend,” which included a gold-medal victory for her daughter in a martial arts tournament, and son Aidan’s first career interception in Detroit’s 15-9 victory against Green Bay.
“A winning weekend of gold and cold moves,” Melissa wrote on Instagram. “…even Aaron rodgers was smiling.”
Hutchinson, the second overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, picked off Rodgers in the end zone in the first half of Sunday’s game. Following the game, Rodgers appeared to take a shot at the Packers’ division rival.
“Can’t lose a game like that against that team, though, so that’s going to hurt for a while,” Rodgers said.
Rodgers, the NFL MVP last season, had a tough day against the Lions and threw three interceptions. Through nine games this season, he has recorded 14 touchdowns against seven interceptions.
The Packers are 3-6 and host the Dallas Cowboys Sunday.
