Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown caused a bit of a stir on social media due to his choice of headwear during an appearance on the Raw Room podcast this week.
Brown’s interview was a pretty entertaining one as he shared a lot of interesting tidbits, all while wearing a Kansas City Royals hat. Of course, given that the Eagles are coming off of a Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the timing was terrible.
That he also joked about possibly requesting a trade lent even more fuel to the speculation.
However, Brown insists the hat has nothing to do with team support and he simply picks whatever matches his clothing at any given time.

The Royals dropped a response to Brown’s tweet, agreeing the color’s a good one.
As it pertains to that trade joke, Brown was referencing Jalen hurts’ upcoming contract negotiations. The WR, who joined the Eagles last year in a trade from the Tennessee Titans, urged Philadelphia to either pay the quarterback or trade him to whichever team Hurts will be going to should the parties fail to agree on an extension.
