Deion Sanders has never been one to play by the book, especially when it comes to fishing.
Whether it’s sneaking a few casts into restricted waters or hooking a friend’s toe, Coach Prime stays true to his unpredictable brand.
Over the weekend, former NFL wideout Antonio Brown added another chapter to Sanders’ ever-growing list of outrageous moments. And once again, it involved a fishing rod, some sharp metal, and no shortage of grit.
In a Sunday post on his official X account, Brown dropped a wild story from 2020. According to him, Sanders got a hook stuck in AB’s toe during one of their fishing trips. Instead of panicking or calling for help, the Hall of Famer allegedly reached for a pair of pliers and took care of it himself.
“Fishing with Deion one his hooks stuck in my toe,” Brown wrote (with absolutely no regard for proper grammar). “This n—– took the hook out my toe with pliers.”
Brown clearly still has beef with Sanders over the incident, later stating, “N—- never ask bout my toe once…till this day.”

Another wrote, “Deion got a Fishhook stuck in his toe? Shedeur should’ve dropped another 2 rounds just for that.” The internet seems to agree: nobody does chaos with style quite like Deion Sanders.

That old arrest reference? It checks out. Back in the day, Sanders found himself casting lines near Fort Myers Airport in a secluded lake. Turns out, the area was off-limits. When police arrived, they told him he was trespassing. But in true Sanders fashion, he shrugged it off.
“The fish are really biting, man,” he reportedly told the officers. Eventually, they escorted him out—but not before he walked away with 10 fish.
Between pulling hooks from his own body and bending a few rules for the love of fishing, Sanders continues to leave behind stories that sound too wild to be true. But when it comes to Coach Prime, the unbelievable often turns out to be exactly what happened.
