
An arrest warrant has been issued for Bengals RB Joe Mixon in Cincinnati on a count of aggravated menacing. The arrest warrant, per Cassy Arsenault, says that Mixon allegedly pointed a gun at a woman and said “you should be popped in the face. I should shoot you now. The police can’ get me.”
The Bengals have since releasd a statemnt:
“The club is aware misdemeanor charges have been raised against Joe Mixon. The club is investigating the situation and will not comment further at this time.”
Aggravated menacing is a first-degree misdemeanor in the state of Ohio. Under Section 2903.21 of the Ohio Laws & Administration Rules, “No person shall knowingly cause another to believe that the offender will cause serious physical harm to the person or property of the other person, the other person’s unborn, or a member of the other person’s immediate family.”
If convicted, he could face up to 180 days in prison, a fine of up to $1,000 and five years of probation.
