When there is smoke, there is certainly fire.
As you may have heard in the last 24 hours, Aaron Rodgers reportedly has told multiple people within the Packers organization that he does not want to return to Green Bay. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst told reporters Thursday night the possibility of a trade was “absolutely false.”
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network added that he is so serious about wanting out of Green Bay that he’s willing to retire and give up $23 million. Rodgers would have to repay the Packers $11.5 million each of the next two years if he retires and stays retired.
Oddsmakers have now dropped the teams where Rodgers may end up at next season:
Here’s who has the best odds to land the star signal-caller, per FOX Bet.
- Denver Broncos -150
- Las Vegas Raiders +250
- New Orleans Saints +500
- Carolina Panthers +1000
- Washington Football Team +1200
- San Francisco 49ers +1600
In 2020, he completed 70.7 percent of his passes for 4,299 yards, 48 touchdowns and five interceptions.
The Packers certainly do not want to trade the MVP, but it’s starting to become likely that they won’t have a choice.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS? FOLLOW US ON GOOGLE NEWS.
