Brittany Matthews was imply just waiting to pounce on her husband critics, and she got that chance on Sunday.
Following the Chiefs’ 41-14 statement win over the Raiders on Sunday night, Patrick Mahomes’ fiancée took to Twitter to call out those who have been critical of Kansas City this season.
“Saying Patrick is broken is ignorant. Saying the chiefs offense is boring is comical,” Matthews tweeted.
Matthews also responded to past commentary from Ryan Clark on ESPN’s “Get Up,” in which he stated that Mahomes “is broken,” and that “he’s the same as he’s always been, but that’s no longer good enough.”
“#weird,” Matthews tweeted, alongside a series of face emojis.
Kansas City’s 41-14 beat down of the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday night catapulted the team back to the top of the AFC West and back into the playoff conversation.
Mahomes finished the game 35-for-50 with 406 passing yards and had five touchdown passes. Mahomes is the first quarterback in NFL history to have a stat line of at least 400 yards, five touchdown passes and zero interceptions.
