I think it’s safe to say that the Cleveland Browns fan base is excited for the future.
Odell Beckham Jr. has yet to even put on jersey or step on the field and it already has the rabid fan base thinking about what is to come with their franchise quarterback in Baker Mayfield slinging the ball his way in 2019 and beyond.
A few fans got so excited that they decided to create a parody video of the song, “A Whole New World” from the Disney classic, Aladdin, and title it, “A Whole New Land.”
Lyrics transcribed via WKYC:
“I can show you The Land, cloudy, cold, but friendly,” Mayfield’s actor sung. “Tell me Odell, now when did you last let your heart decide. You can silence the crowd from drafting blunder by blunder, over The Shoreway and under on a Cleveland carpet ride.”
“A whole new world. A new, affordable point of view. Someone to catch my throws and make Pro Bowls, they’ll say we’re only winning.”
Beckham Jr. followed with, “A struggling team I’ll improve, and if I move this far, I’ll be the star and maybe win a Super Bowl with you.
“Wide receivable sights, indescribable catches, scoring touchdowns and winning through a smoggy Cleveland sky. A whole new world.”
“Completions everywhere, all the time, I swear,” Mayfield and Beckham Jr. sung. “Let me share this whole Dawg Pound with you. A whole new world, Cleveland for me, a playoff team, a wonderous place for you and me.”
This video came on the heels of another fan creating a Browns-themed trailer for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movie:
