Cleveland Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett reportedly suffered a gruesome injury during Sunday’s Pro Bowl game.
According to a report form NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, it’s “believed” that Garrett dislocated his toe during the Pro Bowl game. Pelissero added that x-rays came back negative for the 27-year-old superstar.
This isn’t good news for the Browns or their fans by any means. Teams simply don’t need their players suffering injuries like this during a meaningless game; one that countless fans and pundits believe should’ve been scrapped a long time ago.
The Browns missed the playoffs for a second straight year in 2022, but Garrett did his part in keeping his team in the race. The No. 1 selection of the 2017 NFL Draft racked up 16 sacks for the second straight year, tying his 2021 career-high.
Since entering the league in 2017, Garrett has recorded an impressive 74.5 sacks and 13 pass defenses in 84 NFL games. He helped the Browns end an 18-year playoff drought in the 2020 season and led them to an upset win over the longtime rival Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Wild Card Round.
