A massive trade proposal has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sending their franchise player to a top contender over in the AFC.
With Tom Brady retired, expectations are awfully low for the Bucs heading into the 2023 season. Pro Bowl wideout Mike Evans, who turns 30 in August, is entering the final year of his contract and has been the subject of trade rumors in recent months.
At USA Today‘s For The Win site, Cory Woodroof proposed a massive blockbuster trade idea that would see the Buccaneers sending Evans to the Baltimore Ravens for wide receiver Devin Duvernay and a 2024 second-round draft choice.
The Ravens have been the NFL’s top rushing team since Lamar Jackson’s 2019 MVP season, but John Harbaugh and company look set on throwing the ball a lot more. They replaced well-respected offensive coordinator Greg Roman with Todd Monken, the OC for the Georgia Bulldogs’ 2021 and 2022 national championship teams.

Baltimore signed former Pro Bowler Odell Beckham Jr. and speedster Nelson Agholor in free agency, and they used their 2023 first-round pick on Boston College wideout Zay Flowers.
Evans has crossed 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first nine NFL seasons. The 6-foot-5, 231-pound star is one of the game’s premier deep threats (15.3 yards per reception for his career) and red zone weapons (81 career receiving touchdowns).
A Baltimore team in win-now mode could absolutely use a player like Evans. Actually completing a trade for him is another story, but it’s safe to say that Jackson would happily welcome Evans to this offense.
