A former NFL star has fessed up to cheating on his wife at an interesting time.
The NFL Draft is just hours away, but Shannon Sharpe has dominated the headlines this week, where football news is concerned. And now a former standout quarterback has made a startling revelation about his personal life, disclosing he was unfaithful to his spouse during a difficult period.
Jim Kelly, a Buffalo Bills legend, having led the team to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances, recently discussed a tough time in his life on his new podcast.
The 65-year-old has gone through four battles with cancer and lost his eight-year-old son in 2005. He was working as an NFL analyst while his son was battling globoid-cell leukodystrophy, which he unfortunately succumbed to.
Speaking on his ‘Grit and Grace’ podcast, Kelly revealed that things got tough to a point where he and his wife were no longer interested in each other, and he stepped out of their marriage.
“It was a struggle. We weren’t getting along… Me and my wife lost interest in each other,” he said (H/T FOX News).

Jim Kelly Was “Mad At God”
Kelly admitted that he could not handle his struggles back then and was “mad at God,” telling his wife he didn’t want to be a Christian if it meant being someone like her.
However, he now claims to be a devout Christian, having only attended church as a child because his parents made him.
“I even got to a point, it would drive me crazy, I said to my wife, ‘If being a Christian is being like you, I don’t want to be one.’ I was mad at God. I was like, ‘Man, you put me through all this? I can’t handle this.”
Fortunately for Kelly, he claims to have changed his life and “admitted everything” following a heart-to-heart talk with his mother-in-law.
Kelly has been cancer-free since 2019.
